Sean is a recognized leader in the front office. He has successfully led marketing, sales/delivery, customer service, and corporate communication teams exceeding financial and operational metrics. In all of Sean’s success, he credits his results with the strategy and design of the right experiences to win customers, attract/retain staff, and influence capital decisions.
Sean is currently an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching Marketing and Advertising courses to undergraduates and MBA students. He is also the founder and CEO of 8 Days, a professional services firm that helps brands with customer experience, marketing/sales effectiveness, and product strategy.
From 2012-2023, Sean was a partner at PwC. Sean’s company Ant’s Eye View was acquired by PwC in 2012. Sean spent three growing the AEV team, client list, and revenue to garner four acquisition offers. While at PwC, Sean led a 130-person team, and served Fortune 1000 clients to grow revenue, reputation, and retention by designing user/customer/employee experiences in products and services. Sean has completed 42 enterprise transformation projects.
Sean spent 12 years at Dell, Inc. as an executive in product marketing, call center/customer services, brand marketing, operations, digital, web, and corporate communications. During his tenure, Sean was accountable for revenue exceeding $4B, driving a 30% OPEX reduction, improving CSAT scores by 18%, and improving brand reputation by driving down negative brand sentiment from 49% to 23%.
Sean began his career (and served 7 years) as an officer in the United States Navy. Sean led humanitarian missions to save the people trapped by the Cold War. He operated the largest logistics hub in support of Operation Desert Storm (Gulf War 1990-1992). Sean led a diverse team of 250 civilians and military to ensure American and NATO forces were prepared for the liberation of Kuwait. He was decorated with 8 service medals, including the Navy Commendation Medal and the Armed Forces Humanitarian Medal.
Sean serves on the Austin Pets Alive! and Austin Theatre Alliance boards and is a leader in his local church.
Sean is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance and an MBA in Marketing.
