Check out Monty. He is the happiest, pouty faced, meatball, nugget of perfection you could ever wish to meet. He may look like he is not having a good time but he is just waiting to let loose by squirming in the grass and showing his friends how much he loves them. Monty loves a tasty snack, but he loves his trusted people even more!

Does Monty want to live with another dog? No. Does Monty walk on leash like the most perfect gentleman with a ridiculous amount of training under his nonexistent belt? Heck Yes. Does Monty want to live with cats? Nope. Does he think he is superior to them because he is a dog and therefore should never share a home with them? Yep. Does Monty want to hang out with your kids, nieces, nephews or random kid from down the block? Double nope. Could he handle a moody teenager or older kids that just get it? Yeah, they could be ok. Giant house party with lots of friends, food and drinks? No thanks, Monty prefers a chill night with his people.

Our Monty has those soulful puppy dog eyes and an adorable prominent underbite that has a way of pulling at our heartstrings. "Monty is very polite and smart! said Monty's pal and volunteer, Carrie. "He loves to lounge in the kiddie pool, and he is such a good boy!

- He loves to explore the outdoors and can walk for miles!
- Monty is fully house-trained and has proven to be a respectful houseguest. He's also a TOP Dog graduate, meaning he's a pro at leash walking, sitting calmly, and coming when called.
- He's also an excellent snoozer and is content to chill on the couch and keep you company for hours during Netflix marathons.

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!
