Olvo is described by his shelter friends as a puppy in a big dog body. And we couldn't agree more! He is goofy, energetic, and just so excited about eveeeerything! We love that about him, and we think you will, too!

Olvo has come a long way from that scared doggie who arrived at @austinanimalcenter back in November. Back then he was so nervous that he kept his tail tucked almost all the time and he would walk hunched very close to the floor, trying to make himself as small as possible. But now he knows that we are his friends! When we approach his kennel, his whole body is wiggling in anticipation because ME ME ME, you picked ME!!

Olvo loves playing with toys, and it is pure joy to see his little brain working as he tries to decide which one is the absolute perfect one. He also enjoys going on walks and he checks in with his person when asked. Olvo has the potential to live with another playful dog who is confident and patient, but he will need plenty of time to decompress from the stress of the shelter. If you have another dog, we can provide guidance on initial separation in the home, as well as how to integrate the pups once Olvo has settled in. A meet and greet at the shelter is also highly recommended.

One of Olvo's shelter friends described him as engaging, playful, and affectionate. We just can't emphasize how much this sweet boy loves his friends! He joined a group hike with some other shelter pups and as long as we kept a 10-foot distance from doggos Olvo was glad to take in all the sniffs the park had to offer. Olvo's ideal home would be with an active adopter who wants to take him on walks, play fetch, and work his little mind, too! Come meet him today!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
