This month there was an extraordinary event in Austin...AMPLIFY AUSTIN. Over the course of 24 hours, Austinites donated more than $2.6 MILLION to over 300 Austin-based non-profits. It was a very special moment for me to see Austin come together and help the organizations that serve our local community - from animal welfare to healthcare to environment to education. All of our local organizations benefited from this great event.
On behalf of Austin Pets Alive!'s Board of Directors, I would like to thank all of you that donated to Austin Pets Alive! during Amplify Austin - we had over 760 gifts that equaled over $41,000 donated to our organization. On top of this $41,000, we also won two incentives from Amplify Austin that added up to another $6,000 for us. Every dollar that we raised goes directly to saving animals and keeping Austin No-Kill. This means that during Amplify Austin we raised enough money to save almost 3,000 newborn kittens OR 175 puppies with parvovirus.
So, how can we continue this momentum now that the one-day giving event is over?
Please consider joining our Constant Companions program - it's so easy to help keep Austin No-Kill. By donating every month to APA, you can directly help the animals that we save every day. For example:
$25 buys a puppy kibble
$50 vaccinates a whole litter of puppies
$100 saves a whole litter of kittens
$250 saves a puppy with parvovirus
$1,000 saves two injured dogs or cats by providing medical/surgical support
We need your support to amplify Austin Pets Alive! all year long!
