Austin Pets Alive does not see many cats like Carmen. She is a seal point siamese and very beautiful. We rarely see these cats in the shelter.
Carmen is most likely with us because she has a medical condition that could be serious. She has a heart murmur which in and of itself can be harmless but Carmen is experiencing episodes of lethargy and syncope, which is small time periods of losing consciousness.
Carmen needs an echocardiogram of her heart to visualize and possibly diagnose a defect of the heart.
