10/15 Update: Goal reached!

Esmerelda came into our care as a medical case from Big Springs, TX. She has a congenital abnormality with her bladder that leads her to constantly dribble urine. In so many words, this means that one of her ureters leaves her kidney and basically bypasses the bladder. She needs to undergo a laser surgery that will reconnect this ureter back to her bladder. We do not have the resources to perform this procedure at our Medical Triage and Wellness Clinic, so we are going to take her to Texas A&M so she can get the ectopic ureter repair she needs.

The procedure is on the costly side, pricing at $3,000 which we'll have to raise before she gets the surgery. We're hoping that once again, being the amazing community you all are, who always step up to support the animals at APA!, you'll be able to help us fill her medical fund fast. As of now, Esmerelda is in a home where she wears diapers to help with her condition but we know she's ready to feel her best and live the life she should with her forever people.
