FeeFee’s Knee Surgery - GOAL REACHED!

OUR GOAL

$975

11/27 Update: Goal reached!

Small but mighty, FeeFee is just under two years old and full of playful energy. She’s a Chihuahua/terrier mix that loves the water hose, any toys she can get her paws on, and her humans, whom she quickly gets attached to. Her favorite humans at APA! noticed a skip in her step and notified the medical team, who later found that FeeFee had a luxating patella on her right leg.

A luxating patella simply means that the kneecap is out of place, but the effects are anything but simple. If untreated, FeeFees patella can continuously dislocate or slide toward the inside of the knee causing unnecessary stress on the leg and higher susceptibility to further injuries. Many small breeds, like Chihuahuas, have a genetic disposition for luxating patellas. FeeFee’s current state prevents her from bearing much weight on her back right leg, meaning a less than comfortable playtime. Help us give FeeFee the surgery she needs to live a long, energetic life and donate to our medical fund right now!

*At times a chip in fund will raise more than a pet needs. When this happens, rest assured that excess gifts will be used to help another pet in need of your assistance! Thank you for helping us help pets!
