Francis is a 1.5yr old female that was rescued by Austin Pets Alive back in October 2015.
At the time Francis had large open lesions all over her face and paws and was diagnosed with cryptococcus, a very aggressive, systemic fungal infection. Francis has been in treatment for this and has come close to beating it but just recently developed a new lesion.
After consulting with a specialist it is most likely that Francis has developed immunity to the anti-fungal medication she is currently taking a needs a change in medication. The new anti-fungal needed is much more expensive than the old one and APA needs help keeping it going for Francis.
She has come a long way and has almost made it to the finish line! Can you help her finish fighting the fungus?
