Ok, so we know APA is known for rescuing and adopting cats and dogs but when a rabbit was at risk for euthanasia we couldn’t help ourselves.
So……let me introduce to you Austin Pets Alive!’s one and only bunny rabbit Hardwicke!
Hardwicke is a 2yr old brown bunny that was owner surrendered to the Austin Animal Center for having masses and chronic eye disease. Because rabbit surgery is so sensitive we were looking for another clinic to help us remove Hardwicks masses as they were quite large and concerning. Fortunately Westgate Pet and Bird Hospital stepped up and was able to perform Hardwicke’s surgery at an extremely discounted price! What a lucky bunny!
Austin Pets Alive! does not necessarily have a budget for bunnys and so we need help covering the cost so we can ensure our main priority, the dogs and cats, are able to always have what they need. Hardwicke is still and will be receiving medical care at APA for his chronic eye disease and other routine care. Donate to him today and help APA continue to provide medical care for him!
Austin Pets Alive! relies on the generosity of our community – find out more about the different ways you can support the animals who need us most!
