River Song's Physical Therapy - GOAL REACHED!

OUR GOAL

$500

5/31 update: GOAL REACHED!

River Song came from Bastrop County Animal Services, after she was found laying in the road in front of their shelter. It’s suspected she was hit by a car and when she arrived at APA!, she was unable to stand without assistance. After noticing that River Song only uses her left hind leg gingerly, the medical team discovered that she had a hip fracture that was causing her pain and stiffness.

She has spent the last few months in a foster home under bed rest so she could naturally heal her hip injury. After her bed rest, River Song has made great improvements and is now using both hind legs well, but seems more sore after increased activity. River Song loves all dogs, big and small, and just wants to run and play at full speed, but all that activity leaves her whimpering in pain throughout the night.

Our orthopedic surgeon recommends she receives professional physical therapy to make sure her hip heals properly to avoid future surgery. These physical therapy sessions cost $500 and will help River Song run and play with less soreness. Will you help heal River Song’s hip fracture?
