Our own Nellie currently living at the Town Lake Animal Shelter and is available for adoption through Austin Pets Alive. She is a friendly dog that was found wandering in the streets alone when she jumped right into the car of the good Samaritan that found her.
Nellie has just recently been diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament. It is unknown if the cruciate was torn before she was rescued from a dangerous situation or if kennel life has caused the tear.
Either way, Nellie needs our help and we’re committed to repairing the injury.
Nellie needs a TPLO procedure. This procedure will repair the knee and eliminate pain and lameness for life. She is a young dog, only 3yrs old, and has a lot of energy in her!
