Thank you from Honey

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Rescue

Thank you, Austin!

In less than 24 hours, our generous community has donated enough to Austin Pets Alive! to cover Honey‘s basic medical expenses. Though she may need more expensive procedures like skin grafts or amputation on her foot, we will not know for a few more weeks. Please keep sending good thoughts for her and her foot.

Additional donations made in Honey’s name will be saved should she require those further treatments. However, if she ends up healing with her current treatment plan, Austin Pets Alive! will use the donations to treat other pets who have been abused or neglected by the humans who were supposed to care for them.

Don’t forget that your donation is tax-deductible as Austin Pets Alive! is a 501(c)(3).

We have also received many adoption requests for her from wonderful, caring people who are sure to give her a very happy new life. We’ve decided to ask interested parties to fill out a questionnaire telling us why their home would be the best one for Honey. We know that they’d all be great homes for her, but heck, after what she’s been through, we’re going to try to find her the very best one.

If you’ve already sent an email to us, we’ll be sending you the questionnaire. If you haven’t yet, just send an email to email hidden; JavaScript is required and ask us to send you one.

Thank you all so much for your support. The thousands of animals we will save in 2009 thank you, too.

Thanks so much for what you do for animals in our community! Please take good care of Honey (and all the others) and give her a hug from this Round Rock dog lover!

I hope you will take extra care to find a good home for Honey. Sometimes people will want an abused animal so they can continue the abuse. Please, please give great consideration and investigation to whoever you give her to. I would love to take her, but am a single woman with two large dogs already.

I am just so grateful to hear our donations have all come together to cover Honey’s needs. Perhaps her suffering helped many in the Austin community learn of Austin Pets Live and how we can help other beautiful and innocent animals like Honey! Good thoughts for her foot.
