39 Dogs and Puppies Rescued Yesterday

by Hilary Bentley • Posted in: Awareness/ PR, Foster, Rescue

APA! took in 39 dogs and puppies yesterday! Bastrop and Lampass shelters really needed help. They were full to the brim and would have to start euthanasia if rescue groups did not step in to help.

Luckily, we’ve had loads of adoptions and some extra space. And even more lucky, we somehow found fosters for all the pups that needed some time for vaccines to kick in and URI’s to go away! Yesterday was a true showing of how, when needed, APA! and our transport and foster volunteers really step up to the plate and lend a hand.

Though we were able to secure fosters, now our fosters are full! If you’d like to help a homeless pet find a home and get a few licks and purrs in return, visit http://www.austinpetsalive.org/get-involved/foster/ to find out how.

I have a large dog “Sky Kennel” that I would like to donate. Can you give me an address to drop it off?

Wow, awesome, thank you so much! Our building is at 2807 Manchaca (almost at the corner of Lamar). We’re open every day between about 11 and 7.
