Patricia really is a miracle dog. She came to APA! from the city shelter having been seized by the city from her prior owner for cruelty and neglect. At first, she was very shy and skittish, not wanting to have much to with humans. But now she has really come into her own with the help of one-on-one attention and walks from volunteers and staff.
Her beautiful personality can now shine through! These days Patricia greets human visitors eagerly, knowing that the world is a place filled with love, patience, peace, toys and treats — and walks.
But Patricia still bears some pain from her past – she is heartworm positive. We would like to treat her for these heartworms and get rid of all memories of her past forever. Will you help?
