Take Me Home

Speaking of the mystery of long-stay dogs, our beautiful girl Amy is still searching for her forever home.  Not only does she not have a permanent place to call her own yet, she’s also about to lose her current foster home due to a business trip.  In lieu of a forever home, our lovely lady is also seeking a new foster.

We wrote about what a special dog Amy is several weeks ago.  Just as I was sure she’d find her forever home quickly the day I met her, I was sure that the blog post would be the last time I’d need to write about her.  I’m not the only one.  Every APA! person I talked to when we learned Amy needed a new foster was equally shocked that we’re not already receiving updates from an ADOPTER about how wonderfully Amy’s doing in her new home.

I hope with all my heart that we begin receiving those updates soon!  In the meantime, Amy has done well relaxing in her current foster home.  She loves children and has bonded with her foster’s fourteen month old daughter.  ….

Sometimes there’s a need to keep dogs in our program for an extended period of time due to medical or behavioral rehabilitation.  But it’s heartbreaking to watch a dog who is ready to go and who so desperately wants a family to give all of her love to have to wait like this.  Please help us spread the word about this special girl.  Like the sign in her photo says; unconditional love wanted.
