Boss: Have Leash Will Travel

by Hilary Bentley • Posted in: Pets Needing Homes

Boss is the quintessential Austin pup, a real man about town. He’s been living the Austin single life for a while now, visiting Barton Springs, Auditorium Shores, and cruising South Congress (see the photo chronicles of his adventures). Quite the lover boy, Boss charms ladies and gents alike – both canine and human!

But now he wants to give up the single life of bouncing around from lady to lady and settle down with his one true love in a home of his very own.

Boss at Barton Springs

Watch his video to see this charmer in action! He’ll make a great playmate (not that kind!) for a fellow lonely pup.

So here he is, looking for his somebody to love. Everyone can relate to that, right? He is just a kind puppy that has been overlooked — kind of like the kid who is picked last for dodge ball but ends up winning the game.

Boss Loves To Snuggle With His Doggie Friends

And now, like other lonely hearts around Austin he’s laying it out here on the line, blogging, Facebooking and Tweeting with the best of them hoping his charms will net him the love of his life.

Here’s what his online profile has to say:

Let’s go for a walk together and see if we’re soul mates?
Playful, goofy 10 month old terrier/pit mix looking for the perfect human/dog combo package to enjoy the Austin life with. I’m a loose leash walking dog guaranteed to provide joy to every dog owner who has been the victim of tugging and arm stretching while gallivanting around Town Lake.

I’ve learned my manners from the best, with great sitting, cuddling, and heeling skills. I love belly rubs, long walks around the block and all kinds of adventures around Austin. Affectionate to both dogs and people so those who like puppy kisses and hugs please apply!

I have been fostering Boss for a month now and just have to say “who ever adopts him is one lucky person!”

he looks just like my 6 yr old who passed away a few weeks ago. the only real difference is she had a white streak up her nose. im living in a house right next to a huge park and looking for a dog to come into my life. the only thing is i wont be able to take one in for another 6 months, but i want him so bad….

Hi Ashton, Email us at email hidden; JavaScript is required and we can get you talking with the foster. My understanding is that he is a good boy but I am not 100% sure. They can answer all of your questions. I sure hope he finds his forever home.

Boss’ ONLY issue is he resource guards toys. NO issues with food! Other than the toy issue he has never met a dog he does not want to play with! And just to clarify he does not “fight” over toys – he just makes a very vocal disagreement:)

He would be fine with a dog of any size as long as they are dog friendly and Jen also says a “dog friendly” cat home would also be OK!
