Energetic, Affectionate, Curious

What's Artarama Jerry like, you ask? Let us paint you a picture. Think cuddly, playful, loving and curious, with a hint of caution, all wrapped up in a silky soft and beautiful sable coat!

Jerry is an affectionate kitty who loves to be petted at every opportunity. He will follow you around, because he simply must see what you're doing, but also because he'd be oh-so happy to get some loving! He likes to roll over for side pets and belly rubs and warms up quickly to company, readily accepting pets from them and wooing them with his intoxicating sweetness and his studly good looks!

It's hard to believe this people-loving cat was so scared at the shelter that he mostly stayed hidden behind the nearest chair. But, once he was in his foster home it was just a matter of days before he happily shed the scaredy-cat routine and became a love-seeking purr machine!

Jerry likes to stay active and loves playing with his rubber bouncy ball or with the laser pointer. If you leave an open cup of water out, he is very likely to stick his paw in it and knock the whole thing over. Watching water spill coupled with knowing you're the cause is SO fun that he never tires of this game. But, if you don't share his fascination with observing cause and effect, you can just put cups where he cannot access them.

When it comes to being tidy, you are unlikely to find more of a neatnik than Jerry! Every time he eats he gathers any food bits that went on the floor and pushes them into a little pile next to his bowl. He does the same thing with any litter he kicks out of the box. He may even meow at you to enlist your help in getting the floor clean.

Jerry previously lived with other cats and dogs and got along well with them. Just ask him and he's likely to tell you all about it...he does enjoy a good chat!

Spend a little time with Jerry and he's sure to draw you in and color your world. You will quickly discover that he is a snuggly, inquisitive, funny and alluring masterpiece! Contact us to arrange a meet up with this picture perfect sweetie!

Artarama Jerry has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Artarama Jerry can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
