Playful, Smart, Forever Kitten

Isn't Rory Reading List Adorable? He's on the small side, so he will always look a bit like a kitten. Beware: cuteness overload!

Rory is a playful and affectionate kitty. At first, he may be a little reserved, but once he trusts you, he will let you handle him, request snuggles, and play emphatically with you. Tending to meow softly, he will try to tell you what he wants with body language and verbal cues and he LOVES purring. Like many kitties, he likes having a hiding space, but loves watching outside activity from his favorite window spots.

Highly playful, his favorite toys are wands and bell toys. Rory loves chasing things so much that his foster believes that could learn to play fetch. He also gets really excited about obstructed view play.

Rory prefers to be in the rooms where people are when awake. If he wants to nap, he may go to a comfy and quiet place. He is eager to show affection with those he trusts and also will accept pets from new friends. Rory loves making biscuits but he struggles to stay in the same place for long - the urge to wiggle and play is too irresistible!

While in foster care, Rory seemed to do well with other Felvie cats and currently misses his playmates. While it's unknown how he would react to dogs or children, Rory might enjoy having a cat buddy in his forever home!

Rory Reading List has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, "FeLVies are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Rory can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Be sure to check out his foster's Instagram at https://bit.ly/3ve0r2w.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
