Sweet, Handsome, Churu-lover

Smoke on the Water has made quite the journey from being rescued on Town Lake trail to becoming everyone's favorite snuggle buddy at APA!! Smoke's story is one of resilience, love, and a community coming together.

What Makes Smoke on the Water special? Smoke's love language? Churu treats! Bring out a stick and you wouldn't know he is paralyzed, he'll zoom right up to you for those snacks! Give him some cheek skritches and he'll stick around for a while. When you get to know each other he may strike up a conversation - he's very chatty once you've made friends.

Smoke's hobbies include lounging in the sun, enjoying pets, and playing with his favorite crinkle balls and tracker toys. He also adores his roommates, he has a lot of fun playing with them and scooting around the room to chase them. Despite his calm demeanor, Smoke carries a spirited soul, ready to share endless moments of joy.

Smoke on the Water was found on the Ladybird Lake Hike & Bike trail, he had endured some type of trauma and was paralyzed. Our city came together to help him. A Good Samaritan took him to an ER vet, who transferred him to AAC, and he finally landed here at APA!. We're so happy that he did, he's such a loving sweet cat!

Due to his injury, he is incontinent, which means we help him pee a few times a day. We promise, it's a breeze with our support, and takes less time than your coffee break! Smoke is appreciative of your help, and even makes biscuits while you express him The bond you form with him will be unbreakable.

When you adopt Smoke, we will teach you how to care for him. And you'll never be alone, APA! has a support system that'll be with you the whole way.

APA! is on the verge of a milestone - our 150th incontinent cat adoption! By welcoming Smoke into your home, not only do you gain an affectionate companion, but you also join an extraordinary movement showcasing the boundless love and adaptability of special needs cats.

Smoke is waiting for his forever friend - could it be you? Let's show the world the beauty of adopting special cats like Smoke.
