Loves to purr, Parrots being a parrot, Plays with all the toys!

Taffeta Darling is a super sweet and beautiful little kitten all dressed up in the finest calico coat - eclipsed only by her amazing personality! She doesn't just *like* to purr, she *loves* to purr loudly, and will rub on your legs, hoping you'll give her some head scratches. When you sit down, she will climb onto your shoulder and perch like a brilliant, purring parrot!

Then it's time to play. This happy kitten plays with feather wands, toy balls, string toys...all the toys! She has a stuffed chopsticks toy that she carries around, which is charming and hilarious. She hasn't met the other cats in her foster home, but we suspect she would love a nice and playful kitty buddy to run around with, too!

Taffeta has met a very active and large dog (see photos!) and was understandably startled for a while, but soon she began warming up to him. She could likely do fine with a calm and gentle pup in her new home.

Taffeta would thrive best in a home with a scratching post/cat tree to climb, lots of toys, humans to share affection with, and maybe a feline playmate. She is so affectionate, playful, and animated - it seems she would prefer to have someone around to share her excitement for life!

Taffeta Darling has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. She can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
