Curious, Gentle, Cuddly

Megalovania is a gorgeous black panther with mega amounts of love to share! This calm, friendly boy is a little bashful initially. But, once he feels safe he is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. His favorite place to hang out is next to his human, curled up on a blanket. It's the perfect spot to soak up the love and prep his top-tier biscuits!

Sweet Mega was on the euthanasia list at another shelter simply because he is blind. There was no way APA could stand by and let that happen. When he arrived to us he was emaciated - most likely from living on the streets. He has since put on weight and his ebony coat has a healthy glisten. This smart cookie has quickly learned the art of being an indoor cat and is now enjoying the luxurious, pampered life he so deserves!

Give Mega a toy he can hear...crinkly, jingly or other noise making ones... and he will play like any other kitty. Blind cats are truly amazing as Mega brilliantly shows us every day. He impressively navigates his environment using his hearing and memory. Show him where things are, and soon he will be walking around the house like a cat with perfect vision; in fact, you might sometimes forget that he can't see.

Mega is not particularly vocal. But, if he is hungry or needs you, he will let you know! He gets along well with the three cats in his foster home. He enjoys having kitty pals as long as they are polite! We haven't seen him with dogs. With a proper introduction, he would likely make friends with a gentle, older dog who is low-energy and docile.

Mega's ideal home be one with a quiet, peaceful environment. He would do well in an adult only home or one with well-mannered older kids who understands and respects that Mega is happiest when there isn't a lot of commotion and noise.
