Loving, Purr-o-matic, Playful

Frankly, we just can't say enough good things about Frank I Goral! It's not merely because his long, luscious black coat is incredibly soft or because he is extremely handsome. It's what's on the inside...his sweetness, loving nature, intelligence...we could write a book about our Franky!

Frank is blind and the way he handles himself with calmness, curiosity and good cheer absolutely warms our heart. He amazes us every day with his ability to skillfully navigate his environment with ease using his superpower hearing and memory. He quickly learned the layout of his foster home, including the stairs, and understands if his foster says "careful" to slow down and check for obstacles. He has had no issues finding and using his litterbox. His foster initially rang a little bell or tapped on the box to help him learn the location and he had it figured out in no time. It's easy to forget that he can't see.

Frank loves to snuggle and will let you hold him in your arms like a baby. Once he knows you're a true-blue friend, he is ready to be your bestie! He will carefully follow you around the house and will shower you with loads of happy purrs! He is a smart cookie who loves learning new games - he is a master of the track ball tower (see video!) and brings his A game when attacking a catnip toy with enthusiastic bunny kicks and expert wrestling moves. He would love to discover new toys that his forever family picks out for him!

Once Frank becomes familiar with the terrain of a home, he feels secure and relaxed. He likes to lounge in the kitchen or hallway of his foster home, and sleeps on his back with his paws sticking up! He loves exploring and comes running when his foster shakes the treat bag. Yum! If he ever does need help, he will ask with a sweet meow.

Frank was slowly introduced to the 7 resident cats in his foster home and gets along fine with them. He needs to have a safe place where he knows he can retreat and not feel threatened. He has a bedroom in his foster home that is only for him where he can hang out or sleep undisturbed by the other kitties.

Frank is such a cuddly, clever and fun mini-panther! Show him around your home, give him a chance to learn the lay of the land and soon enough you'll have a loyal and loving buddy for life. Are you ready to meet this fabulous kitty? Contact us to schedule an introduction!

Frank has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Frank can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
