If Cat TV ever needs a spokescat, Zendaya would be the perfect choice! She spends hours each day lounging in front of the TV, transfixed by bird videos. Of course, she'd likely enjoy watching live action bird activity from a sunny window every bit as much. So, if you have one, it very easily could become her spot of choice!

Zendaya has gorgeous green eyes that often have a sweetly quizzical expression. She is a Manx, so she has an adorable nub instead of tail. Her pretty calico coat will mesmerize you with pretty shades of gold, black, and gray surrounded by soft white. She loves to chat with you and enjoys getting chin scratches. If she's feeling especially relaxed she likes to leisurely roll around and show you her fluffy tummy!

Zendaya likes to hang out where you are. She sometimes will go off on her own to explore for a little while, but she will always come back to your side. She loves a good meal, even better if you keep her company while she eats it. She also loves tasty treats! When it comes to playing, her preferences are catnip toys and laser pointers. Although, she's been known to hunt down suspicious coat hangers too.

Zendaya has had some difficult events in her life that left her with uncertainty that she is working on overcoming. She was adopted from APA as a kitten, but was recently returned due to developing hyperesthesia, a condition often caused by stress, that can give cats a heightened sensitivity to touch. This doesn't mean Zendaya doesn't want to be touched, we know that she enjoys affection! Her human just needs to understand her preferences.

Zendaya takes daily medication that helps her relax and feel better. It is easily mixed in with her food. Her ideal home would be with a patient person who will give her the love, time, and space she needs to be able to trust. Then she can be her authentic, loving, and happy self again.

Zendaya roomed with other cats at the shelter but she kept to herself when she was with them. She would do best as the sole kitty in a household with adults only or possibly that also includes older kids who will respect her boundaries. Ready to help put the Zen back in Zendaya? All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
