Hazel came into the shelter after being found as a stray. She arrived with what looked to be an old injury to her hind quarters. The right rear leg looked to have had surgery and the left rear leg was recently amputated while in our care due to it not being functional and the foot being curled and dragging causing pain and physical damage to the top of the foot. She is recovering from her amputation well so far. Hazel is a little shy with new people but is great with people she knows and welcomes volunteers when it is walking time. She seems to keep her run fairly clean so we assume there will be little to no potty training necessary just a routine to learn. She adores stuffed animals; she gets one every day. One of our staff members stated their favorite characteristic is that she is talkative and love to be pet and to snuggle.
