Carter is an adorable little 9 week old chihuahua puppy who got kennel cough and then developed pneumonia despite being on antibiotics. He has been in the hospital receiving treatments including 2 different injectable antibiotics, nebulization of saline and antibiotics to help clear the infection, and nutritional supplementation. Today he is going home with his foster mother to recover more. We have been very worried about him and are hoping that he will continue to improve. The doctors say it could be a couple of weeks before we know that he is out of the woods. We are so grateful to the people who have helped donate to Austin Pets Alive! because it allows us to help puppies like Carter who end up in emergency situations and need our help. He literally had no where else to turn.
