We recently received a donation that is going to allow us to partially set up a neonatal ward for underage kittens (and probably puppies too). We're hoping that this will allow us to take on the additional kittens and puppies for whom we do not have foster homes. This ward will not replace foster homes, but will instead supplement.
In order to complete this plan, we are searching for a donated space, even 300 square feet should work, but we'll need 24 hour access. We'll also need lots of volunteers to help take care of and socialize the babies. Once they are weaned, they will probably then be transferred to foster homes for further socialization. If you are interested in helping out, please check out our volunteer page and submit an application. (In case you're wondering, we still need KMR!)
We are really excited about how many lives this is going to save. Thank you so much to all of our generous supporters for helping make Austin a no kill city!
