This Saturday August 21 at Lakeline Mall, APA! is hosting the “Back to School” adoption event featuring our bottle baby and rescued kittens and cats. Back to school time means great deals, so APA! is offering reduced adoption rates for all of the kittens and cats at the event:
8-10 weeks: 1 kitten $ 125
8-10 weeks: 2 kittens $200
10-16 weeks: 1 kitten $100
10-16 weeks: 2 kittens $150
16 weeks and up: 1 kitten $ 75
16 weeks and up: 2kittens $100
Behavior specialist Mark Mac will be answering any and all questions on cat behavior at the event. Whether you’re looking to adopt or are curious about your family’s feline, come ask Mark your questions about the cats you love.
Since January, APA! has rescued and cared for over 1,100 cat and kittens who were scheduled to be euthanized at Town Lake Animal Center. 510 of these cats were unweaned kittens who were bottle-fed and raised by volunteers in its Bottle Baby Trailer. Most kittens that come into the city shelter under eight weeks of age are not likely to survive, but through APA!’s efforts, the rescued kittens have had a 92 percent survival rate.
So far, over 700 cats have been adopted out this year. Come out to Lakeline Mall from noon to 6 p.m. on the 21st to adopt an adorable kitten or cat and help make room for more.
