Want to spend time with our newest and sweetest Austinites? Our newborn kittens need you!
Austin Pets Alive!'s Bottle Baby program is a chance to help save lives in the most rewarding ways. Our team rescues unweaned kittens, and oversees their feeding and care in the APA! neonatal ward until they are old enough to move to a foster or adoptive home.
Of course if you would like to volunteer to be a part of this special team, you will need special training! The process is simple...
Choose ONE 2 hour slot from the list below. Email your first/last name, phone number, and the training date/time you would like to attend to [email protected]. (Please note if you are signing up for more than 1 person.) Our upcoming training sessions are as follows:
Friday, April 5 from 6-8p (training with Beckie)
Friday, April 19 from 6-8p (training with Beckie)
Sunday, April 21 from 11a-1p (training with Jenna)
Saturday, April 27 from 9-11a (training with Beckie)
Sunday, April 28 from 11a-1p (training with Jenna)
You will receive a confirmation email if your chosen time is available and you have been added to our list. Please only show up for the class if you have received a confirmation email, as our classes fill up fast!
If you're interested in volunteering in our neonatal ward but are not available for any of the above dates, please keep checking in! More dates and times will be added throughout the spring.
Please note: Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to volunteer in the nursery; you must be at least 16 years of age to feed the kittens with a trained adult. Sorry, no exceptions!
