Some fellow animal lovers hosted a Donation Happy Hour in their home last week in an effort to raise awareness, gather much needed supplies & have fun!
The idea was spawned when a friend visited the APA! Resource Center, met some of our animals, and saw that supplies were needed. She then posted an event on Facebook, invited all her animal-loving friends, and sent out the list of requested items. The outcome was a wonderful evening with friends, old & new, a LOAD of supplies, and...a washer & dryer! APA! even brought some adoption-ready kittens by so each donor could see & hold some of the animals benefiting from the generosity.
Many thanks to Kay & Julie for opening their home & hearts to APA! for the evening...they are long-time supporters of many other animal rescue groups, so their generosity towards APA! is much appreciated. No matter which rescue organization you'd like to benefit, hosting a donation happy hour is a great way to give and help Austin reach No-Kill status.
