Introducing APA!'s Tarrytown Dog Adoption Center!

We are thrilled to share with you that Austin Pets Alive! will be opening a new dog adoption site in Tarrytown!  The new location will house up to 28 of our adoptable puppies and small, dog-friendly rescues ready for their forever home.  With 4 special habitats and 2 on-site dog parks filled with park benches and lush trees, it is a perfect addition to our main Town Lake facility and current Tarrytown cat adoption center.

We hope you'll join us for refreshments and family-friendly entertainment at our grand opening celebration on Sunday, October 20th 12-3pm.  The new site is located at 3118 Windsor Rd., at the corner of Windsor Rd. and Exposition Blvd.

As with any new project, APA! is in need of  the necessary supplies and materials to keep the facility running smoothly and looking great.  Please consider donating one of these much-needed items to help us successfully launch this new adoption center:

Start-up needs

• Brooms and dust pans


• 4 black water hoses


• 2 medium black trash cans with lids


• 1 large outdoor trash can


• 3 medium indoor trash cans


• 1 large sprayer


• 2 squeegees


• Handles for squeegees


• 4 pooper scoopers


• 2 rolling food storage containers


• 20 stainless steel dog bowls


• 5 extra large stainless steel dog bowls


• Utility shelves


• Any new or used storage bins

Ongoing needs

• Non-chlorine bleach


• Glass cleaner


• Surface wipes


• Paper towels


• Spray bottles


• Pens


• 2-pocket folders

Start-up needs can be donated anytime at our Town Lake facility (1156 W. Cesar Chavez St.).  Ongoing needs can be donated in advance, or brought to the grand opening on October 20th.  Thank you for your continued support!
