Robyn is a spectacular help, she comes on site to APA! at the drop of the hat to do free ultrasounds. Without her help, APA! would be lost when it comes to determining treatment plans for our cardiac patients and many of our pregnant and sick animals. In recent weeks, she diagnosed an intussusception in a puppy that required emergency surgery but wound up saving its life!
Dr. David Allman, DACVS.
Dr. Allman is a Mobile Veterinary Specialist which enables him to outreach to animals that he would note otherwise be able to treat. He does all surgeries for APA! animals at discounted prices, comes on site for consultations free of charge, and helps APA! manage many of our orthopedic and soft tissue cases via email consultations. APA! is also able to send him x-rays for review (which by itself is a $120 charge). He also teaches our on staff veterinarians surgical techniques at no charge. His help makes an amazing on APA! and the animals we are able to save!
Dr. Lynsey Smith Wagner, DVM, DACVO.
Dr. Wagner is wonderfully generous to APA! She and Eye Care for Animals donate nearly $5,000 per year in surgical services. She does all of the consultations for our animals free of charge when the consult by itself would cost $120 or more for an animal. She has also helped us immensely with complicated surgeries at practically no cost and has acted as an adviser for the medical management of serious eye diseases. She tells us which animals need to have eyes removed and which ones can be treated medically. She also helped us refine our kitten eye disease protocols which will continue to help many other kittens in the future.
All animals with a significant eye injuries or diseases automatically go on the euthanasia list and without Dr. Wagner's help, we wouldn't be able to help so many of them. We're able to get dogs and cats treated, comfortable, pain free, and adopted because of her help!!
