Sassy is an 8yr old West Highland Terrier with diabetes. She
was with another rescue group when she became very ill. Austin Pets Alive! took her into the program for medical treatment where she was diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis. DK is a condition where to body produces no insulin and starts to burn fatty acids resulting in blood chemistry abnormalities and often results in death.
