Update: The agenda has been posted and the meeting time has changed to 3:00 on Tuesday, January 19th. They will take input from the public, but you must sign up to speak before the meeting starts. There are two items of importance:
Item 7: Receive staff update on new Animal Services Center and take action as appropriate
Item 8: Briefing on the progress of the implementation plan for the Animal Advisory Commission’s “Reduce Animal Intake and Increase Live Animal Outcomes" recommendations
Next week, the City Manager will be proving an update on the no-kill implementation plan being working on by TLAC and the Animal Advisory Commission to a subcommittee of City Council.
THAT MEETING IS TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, AT 3:30p.m. AT CITY HALL.
We need everyone to attend and send a strong message about the importance of the Animal Advisory Commission recommendations. Mayor Pro Tem Martinez and Council members Morrison and Shade are on this subcommittee. Remember the council members have been very supportive of the NO KILL efforts.
WE NEED TO PACK THE HOUSE SO THEY KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS ISSUE IS TO THE CITY OF AUSTIN. CALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND INVITE THEM TO ATTEND.
As soon as the meeting agenda is released, we will post an updated announcement.
