Remember little Chloe? Maybe the name doesn't ring a bell but she was a lil Shih Tzu that arrived at APA in pretty bad condition: matted, bald, stinky, scabby - She was clearly miserably itching and in pain. It was a severe case of demodectic mange... normally not a big deal, but it was so severe we wondered if Chloe would ever recover. I'll let the pictures tell the story:
After 9 weeks with APA:
Full of life and spunk!
It didn't take long for Chloe to find a forever home once she recovered. That was in February.
We recently recieved an update from the adopter - Martha- who said she can't imagine her life without Chloe now. Her whole family is in love with the Chloe and her daughters come to visit a little more often.
For a small dog, Chloe is a big character. Even the folks at Best Dressed Dog have commented on her "adorable personality". She can be opinionated and stubborn at times, but when she turns on the "cute" she can melt your heart and no matter what you can't be upset with her. She is almost always happy and playful and she is the center of our universe. Even our two grown daughters who live 25 miles away visit more often. Lacy, my oldest, says that she misses Chloe so she makes regular weekly trips to our house just to see her.
This dog has been such a blessing in our lives and we are so grateful to you for taking her in and getting her better. I just wanted you to know that your efforts were not in vane and that this is a true success story. None of us can not imagine life without Chloe in it so Thank You from all of us at the Coleman house. Besides, Chloe Coleman has a nice ring to it don't you think?
Happy Holidays to you and all your two and four legged family members!
Martha also sent along some photos of Chloe in her happy home:
