Kim has been a huge part of APA's dog rescue for over 2 1/2 years and has helped save many lives from Town Lake Animal Center. Our Rescue Team would not be where it is today without her. In addition to walking the euthanasia list at TLAC on a regular basis, she has helped recruit and train many of the additional members we have today. Kim is always helping to make sure the days are covered at the shelter and volunteering to cover more if there are gaps.
She is also known to be the voice for many of the fearful and scared. "Kim dog's" as we fondly call them at the shelter. She works hard to help turn them around so we can save their lives. She will walk into almost any kennel with a big fearful dog with aggressive notes on their record in order to evaluate them and give them a chance. We know if Kim says one is 'ok to pull", it must be that she was able to comfortably handle it.
I cannot thank Kim enough for her dedication to saving lives and her ability to help make the difficult decisions as we approach our goal of No Kill.
