This past Saturday was the 2nd birthday of APA! long-stay dog (and volunteer favorite), Louise.
APA! volunteers banded together to shower this special girl with some extra attention she deserves. Louise was a long-stay dog at the Austin Animal Center before arriving at Austin Pets Alive!, and came to us with some trust issues. She has come a long way though, developing into a charming, relaxed girl who will readily nap by your side and shower you with love.
Louise is pretty dang smart, too. Just check out her training session with APA!'s behaviorist here on our livestream channel. She even took the spotlight at her birthday party by doing a demo of her behavior training for all of her adoring fans.
Thank you to Freebirds World Burrito for feeding our volunteers during the festivities, and to Sugar Mama's Bakeshop for providing not only cupcakes for our human friends, but pupcakes for Louise and her friends too.
Louise lives at our Town Lake Animal Center location, which is open 11:30am-7pm daily for you to come visit. For more information on her, please email [email protected]. To further help dogs in need like Louise, consider making a donation to APA!'s Dog Behavior Program.
